Description
Producer notes: “100% Lambrusco di Sorbara, interpreted as an elegant and delicious Brut Rose. Notes of currant, raspberry and rose petals, backed by a lingering, refreshing perlage. Vintage dated with at least 42 month of aging on the lees. Dosage 5.5 g/L.”
Single variety wine-making of Lambrusco di Sorbara grapes grown in Secchia river alluvial plain, in the heart of Emilia Romagna region.
Our Rosé is obtained from a selection of the best Sorbara grapes entirely gathered in small cases (15 kg. max) by manual harvesting, then softly pressed. Then the must is submitted to clarification, followed by alcoholic fermentation into controlled temperature stainless steel tanks.
After remaining at least six months inside the tanks for maturation process, the wine receives selected yeasts, prior to being bottled.
The bottles are then stored horizontally in piles for the long re-fermentation process and maturation at ambient temperature constantly kept at 12°C.
The following steps are remuage, disgorgement and liqueur d’expédition addition.
“Beautiful pale pink dress” covered by gentle, soft foam with fine, tiny and persistent perlage.
At the nose magic sensation of full aromatic perfumes of raspberry and wild berry well combined with ancient rose and pomegranate tones, grapefruit, face powder. Perceivable acidity balanced with good salty texture. Structured body, brightened by its unique “acid-savory” synergy, which enhances its floral scent. Elegant and persistant.
Alcohol strength: 12,5% vol. To be served at 8° C.
