Description
This wine is from the Coteaux du Giennois, a patch of chalky limestone just north of Pouilly Fume and Sancerre. And all that limestone is evident in this wine, a brilliant mouthful of zesty lime, green peach, fresh cut grass and salty, stony, chalky, gun-flinty, bite. If you’ve been longing for pre-climate-change Sancerre or just want an upgrade from “regular” regional French Sauvignon, this is a brilliant choice.
