Description
The nose is well opened and reveals aromas of flowers and pear, as well as beautiful spicy (white pepper) and slightly smoky notes. On the palate, the attack is supple then the body of the wine blossoms and the consistency, quite extensive, is combined with the delicate freshness of acidity to give a feeling of serenity. The mouth is round, dynamic, tender, delicate and warm. The finish is harmonious, long and structured by a limestone mineral tip.
This Retrospective cuvée 00-14, signed Bastien Papleux, is a blend of the House’s wines dating from 2000 to 2014 thanks to a perpetual reserve.
The Chardonnays of the hillsides of Damery have been mixed year after year with our perpetual reserve since 2000. The old wine educates the young, the new vintages mingle with the old ones and bring freshness to this cuvée all in tension and depth. Bastien Papleux
