Description
The 2022 Lapis Luna Sauvignon Blanc offers notes of tropical fruits, white peach, and ripe pineapple perfume on the nose. Juicy acidity, refreshing, with crip citrus and stone fruit flavors finishing with delicious length.
Lapis Luna translates into “stone” and “moon.” The tarot-card-chic label for this decadent Zinfandel (and for all Lapis Luna’s wines) come from 400-year-old copperplate engravings that depict the relationship between the earth (that’s the “stone” part) and the moon (the “luna” part). Each label depicts a hero looking toward the moon for inspiration, just as the dudes behind Lapis Luna do when making their wines. As Andrew Nelson and Drew Stap, co-partners of the label, like to say, “Lapis Luna is the effect of the moon on our Claifornia grapes.” They are committed to producing wines that over-deliver on flavor at value-driven price points. Our favorite!
