Description
Camphor, roasted coffee bean and baked plum aromas lead the nose on this powerfully built wine. On the monolithic, concentrated palate, velvety tannins and the heat of evident alcohol accompany steeped prune, blackberry jam and licorice. Drink soon to capture the remaining fruit and freshness.
Elio Filippino’s winery is located in the picturesque village of Neive – a UNESCO site, on the right bank of the Tanaro River and very close to Alba, the truffle capital. This location presents a magical landscape of steep hills, particularly suitable for fine and aromatic nuances in the wines. The main production of wine derives from two magnificent estates on the hills around Neive: Serra Capelli and San Cristoforo, regarded as one of the most beautiful hills of the entire Barbaresco grape-growing region, offering a breathtaking panorama that stretches from the Langhe to the province of Asti.
